Starting at an early age, John Cameron had a passion for cars, trucks, racecars, and pretty much anything with a motor that he could take apart, customize, or make it go faster. Building his first show truck at the age of 16, John customized his 1959 Chevy Truck into award winning condition at shows and on the track. Whether it was painting the truck, fabricating his own parts, or sewing the custom tonneau and interior, John always maintains perfection down to the smallest detail.

In the early 1970's and needing to feed his passion for speed, John decided to build a dune buggy to enjoy on the weekends with family and friends. Well, doing what John does best, it didn't stop there as he quickly found himself not just building a weekend toy, but a full blown race car to participate in the Baja 500 series in Mexico.

After taking a few years to expore other adventures in business, rebuilding planes, and designing a few custom boats, John returned to the auto world and built a 1965 Factory Five Racing Roadster. Intended to be another "fun" project, the car quickly was entered and winning top prizes and accolades in local, regional, and national car shows. With the attention the roadster created, John soon found himself being retained to build cars for collectors and gear-heads alike. As the demand continued to grow for his style, craftsmanship, and talents, Cameron Autosports came to life.
